Together we will take a hands-on and practical approach to learning about the effects of music, using music in a manner that is safe and supportive for people living with Dementia, and how music can support your own self-care.

Meredith Woodiwiss

Bio’s

Meredith Woodiwiss, RP, MTA

Meredith Woodiwiss (she/her) is a registered psychotherapist (RP) and a certified music therapist (MTA). Holding a Bachelor and Master of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, Meredith has experience working in bereavement, dementia, and palliative care. She currently works with Acclaim Health as the music therapy team lead to provide music therapy at the Burlington Adult Day Program as well as in the community.

Mason Gibson, MTA

Mason Gibson (she/her) is a certified music therapist holding a Bachelor and Masters degree of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Mason has experience working in dementia care, hospice and palliative care, and oncology. She is passionate about creating accessible musical spaces. Mason currently works at Acclaim Health providing music therapy in the Adult Day Programs.
