BIO

Dr. Natalie Cheng took on the role of Medical Site Lead for Dartmouth General Hospital in 2021. She is also a hospitalist at DGH and was previously the Site Chief of Family Practice at DGH from 2011-2017. 

Dr. Cheng was born in Ontario.  She trained in mechanical engineering at the University of Waterloo. She did her medical school degree at Dalhousie University, and Family Medicine Residency in Queens University.  She moved back to Nova Scotia in 2011 with her husband and son, to be closer to family.

She says that the most rewarding part of her job is collaborating with a great team of people and working together to make positive changes in the health care system. When she’s not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing music, and participating in a number of athletic activities including running, swimming, hiking, and martial arts.
