Lee Bartel, PhD, is Professor Emeritus, former Associate Dean of Research, and Founding Director of the Music and Health Research Collaboratory (MaHRC) at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. He is a member and former board member of the Collaborative Program in Neuroscience, cross-appointed to the Rehabilitation Science Institute, and a participant in the Collaborative Program in Musculoskeletal Science, as well as past board member of the 217 Foundation. His primary research interest is Pulsed Stimulation Therapy with applications in long-COVID, neurogenic pain, depression, neurodegenerative conditions, spinal and skeletal conditions, and Cardiac Rehab.

Lee will explore how to evoke responses to music by considering cultural, psychological, neurological, and experiential factors. It covers how music affects the mind, brain, and body, and offers strategies for using sound and music to achieve specific therapeutic goals.
